Jio has continuously been adding new offers and plans to its Fiber which is already 10 Lakh strong and growing rapidly.
The new change included is the addition of Netflix in its plans. Netflix was added earlier but the settop box wasn’t ready to stream Netflix.
With the recent update Jio has enabled Netflix in its settop box. Users who haven’t received the update automatically can download the Netflix app from the Jio Store.
We have streamed Netflix from the Jio Settop box and must say the application works just fine without any glitches or hiccups.
For sure we can say Netflix in Jio settop box is much faster and smoother than Amazon Prime.
Not that Amazon Prime lags or hangs but Netflix provides a better polished experience.
We had expected Netflix to perform the same as Amazon Prime but the good news is Netflix works better.
Netflix, which comes at a Premium is only bundled with the Premium Jio Fiber plans that start with Diamond, which is priced at 1499+GST.
Diamond plan offers speeds of 300 Mbps with Netflix being offered with only the basic plan.

The Basic plan of Netflix that is offered with the Diamond plan lets you stream content on a single screen at a time in Standard Definition @ 480p only.
The Standard plan of Netflix comes bundled with both the Diamond+ as well as Platinum plans.
Diamond+ plan offers speeds of 500Mbps and is priced at Rs 2499+GST whereas the Platinum plan offers speeds of 1Gbps and is priced at Rs 3999+GST.
Netflix Standard plan lets you stream content @ FULL HD in 2 screens simultaneously.
Jio fiber offers the Netflix Premium Plan with its top tier of Titanium Plan.
Titanium Plan offers speeds of 1Gbps and is priced at Rs 8499+GST.
Netflix Premium plan lets you stream content upto 4k HDR in 4 screens simultaneously.
Those of you prefer binge watching can always opt for the premium plans and push your digital entertainment boundaries.
Apart from enabling Netflix on its Jio settop box, Jio has made minor changes to its Long term plans.
Users opting for any of the Annual plans will now mandatorily get a validity of 390 days & Semi Annual plan users shall get a validity of 195 days.
The redemption of LED Tv’s has been revoked in the new Annual plans.
Previously Annual plan users could avail extra validity of 60 days or double data or LED Tv’s but with the introduction of new plans some offers have been trimmed at the expense of cheaper price and unlimited data.
The only benefit that is available for Annual plan users is an extended validity of 30days & Semi Annual plan users get an extended validity of 15 days.
Jio has continuously been making the effort to make its broadband services as value for money as possible and just as it brought a revolution in the telecom sector, we can surely say Jio is going to transform the broadband sector as well.
